Popcorn

Mateo Rubiera

Delinquent droplets drip, diaphanous,
Rebelliously ripping themselves from the ceiling...
Whose popcorn`s mundanity does incite...
The most suicide-inducing of feelings.

But I must reject my urges;
I must delay my entrance into the hellacious furnace;
Sure, once boredom was a curse;
A feeling to which I was much averse.

Now, though, I see the truth, the light;
Now I know that which is right;
Now I do not give my boredom a fight;
Now it is true that boredom is my might!

For boredom is merely the fuel of creativity,
So I mustn`t have consumptive proclivities;
Rather, silent observation shall stir my pen...
From the beginning to the end.

Delightful droplets drip dutifully,
Righteously riding away from the ceiling...
Whose miraculous popcorn does spark...
The most transformative of healings!
